Naked farm girls have got their kit off for the sensational “young farmers' dream” calendar 2017
Two Florida women hope that by selling a pin-up calendar featuring naked female farmers and strategically placed produce, they can raise enough money for a down payment on some new land. The company's owners, Claire Mitchell and Danielle Krasniqi , are currently farm-less; the landlord of their previous farm wanted to build homes there instead. So the ladies and their friends decided to strip down -- tastefully -- and rally folks to donate to their cause. Story continues below. With only a six-person staff, it produced about 90 pounds of salad greens -- arugula, red mustard, kale, broccoli shoots and more -- every week for restaurants, local markets and their community-supported agriculture program. Farms for City Children gives primary school children from disadvantaged urban communities the chance to become an integral part of one of our three working farms in Devon, Pembrokeshire and Gloucestershire for a whole week. During the week the children and their teachers live and work at the farms, explore the countryside, and find out where good food comes from. They discover self-confidence as they conquer fears, grow in self-belief as they overcome challenges as part of hard-working teams, develop new friendships, create stories and poems filled with the vibrant sounds and language of the rural environment and learn to see a bigger, brighter future than they might realise exists beyond their crowded city horizons. Many thanks to all supporting our efforts, especially the farming families and to Brightsea Print Group. Farmers Calendar.
